Reflux Condenser - 100 mm 24/40 Joint Made of Borosilicate

The 100mm Reflux Condenser with 24/40 Joint is a borosilicate laboratory condenser for compatible reflux, distillation, and vapor-condensation assemblies. Its 100 mm condenser section provides a compact option where apparatus height is limited or a shorter cooling section is appropriate for the procedure.

The 24/40 ground-glass connection is intended for components using the same taper standard. Verify every mating joint before assembly; a matching nominal flask capacity does not guarantee joint compatibility. The cooling connections should also be matched with suitable tubing and secured so hose weight does not pull on the glass.

During reflux or distillation, cooling fluid is circulated through the condenser jacket so vapor contacting the cooled surface can condense. Actual condensation performance depends on vapor load, coolant temperature and flow, apparatus configuration, ambient conditions, and operating procedure. Inspect the condenser body, ground joint, and hose connections before each use. Chips, cracks, deep scratches, damaged joints, or stressed hose barbs are reasons to remove glassware from service. Support the condenser with appropriate laboratory hardware, avoid excessive mechanical load from attached tubing, and do not subject borosilicate glass to inappropriate thermal shock.
